These guys wanted to show NYC in a in-your-face kind of way for their last photo adventure with me before moving off to the calmer pastures of Canada. Times Square is great, but I'd say changing baby's clothes and having a snack in the subway station full of ads about erectile disfunction is about as New York as you can get ;)
A little over a month ago I was lucky enough to hang with this amazing family to capture some simple and sweet mama and daughter moments. Mama was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer and is still fighting hard for her little girl. I'm always amazed at the strength of humans. What our hearts can bare. What we can tap into when we are suddenly forced to confront something head on. We have so much to learn from each other, especially those who are going through tougher times than us. And I'm so happy and feel blessed to have crossed paths with this beautiful mama and her family.
I'm sharing this chilly March session now, just to remind you all how much warmer it is now than it was. So let's be grateful for this wacky spring weather because it's better than March. Or was March really warm this year...? Oh well. Keep your eye on the prize. Which is SUMMER!
I know I've mentioned this before on my Instagram, as well as on here, but I'm gonna say it again- I'm LOVING all the in home sessions I've had this winter. And when I say this winter, I mean this winter because it still feels like winter! Whyyy? Though as I write this, it's looking like spring might be making an appearance soon. I also can't believe I didn't blog in all of March!? Crazy how time slips by. I hope you were keeping as busy as me, but not too busy, because we always need to make time to slow down and be extra present with and for our kids. That's my pro tip for parenting... that I'm still working on.
I gotta say, this winter has been full of cuddly in-home sessions, and I can't get enough of them! This one is from early in the winter, December, to be exact, so I'm excited to share more of these sweet indoor sessions in the coming weeks! Who says winter isn't a good time to get your family photos taken?!
