Williamsburg is one of those neighborhoods that I've seen over the last 12 years (12 years?!!!) change and evolve so dramatically. And even back in the day when I was selling sweatshirts at Artist + Fleas (yep I totally did that in my past life), it was a fun place to be and explore (albeit a little rougher around the edges than it is now). I absolutely LOVE finding the small, interesting, and unique corners of this hood. Maybe for your next session we can explore there (or anywhere really) together!
If I were to live in Manhattan I'd pick the West Village to be my neighborhood. It always wins my heart when I'm there, and I keep getting drawn back for my mini sessions. The cutest corners and streets are to be had, and while we did a lot of people dodging from the late afternoon weekend crowd, we managed to sneak away with some cute family photos!
Hello New Year, and hello very neglected blog. Before I get down and get lost in the nitty gritty of all my slow season work, I'm going to try and update my long forgotten friend - my blog. While I wont be posting all my sessions from summer and fall of 2017, I will try and do my best to create a well rounded "portfolio" of work for you to peruse at your leisure. Aaand I'm pretty sure no one cares about this except me (and google, as they like websites with new content). So here's mini session round one in DUMBO!
I spent a lot of time in the West Village this spring, and I really loved every minute of it. My mini's this year were broken up into two days because of some hard core rain, so I got to spend a little extra time in this fun neighborhood. My favorite spot that I found for a pick me up was Bosie Tea Parlor. Check it out if you're ever in the neighborhood!
For this year's spring mini sessions we contended with a little unpredictable spring weather that was worked around and photographed through, and in the end it all works out :)
