One of my favorite parts about my job as a family photographer is being welcomed into my clients homes where I get to see and be inspired by how people keep their home space. While I'm there to document the feelings, love, and life of the people in these homes, it's always so wonderful to see their space reflected around them as it's part of who they are right now too. Maybe that's why I have such a hard time giving away (or worse, throwing away!) old toys and books that my children have gone through. Because even though things are things and they can always be replaced or upgraded, they still can hold so much of the family in them. They are time capsules within themselves, and sometimes that can be hard to let go.
