Sometimes you have to cross the East River to get to the perfect photo spot ;) Just kidding, Manhattan is cool too.
As a mother of two I know how hard it is to raise kids in this city. So I totally relate to families who take the leap to move to greener pastures and away from these hot summer sidewalks. I also know how fast our kids grow and how quickly the world around us can change so being able to document as least some parts and moments of this crazy life is priceless.
Summer time. I love you, but darn it all if I can't do it all. With little time between the balance of full time parenting with my husband, and slow and somewhat confusing internet problems (totally tried to blog this session about 5 times), familial obligations, and travel, it's really a wonder I get anything more than half way done in these crazy months. I know no one cares but me that I'm about 2 months behind in the blogging of my sessions, but I really do love sharing all these beautiful families with the world, and it's a little hard for me to have broken away from my normal routine that I've been rolling with for my biznisss :)
Second time around with this family, marking the arrival of baby number two in this bright in home session on the upper west side. Though there's never any guarantees for older siblings to happily hang with their new second in command, we do sometimes luck out :)
I've been photographing these twins since they were a few weeks old and it's just so fun to see them grow over the years. Now they are a big sisters, exploring their new home with clovers and trees, and bamboo that all creates exciting hiding places!
